About Steven
Steven Cox grew up in the arts, acting in church plays and playing bass guitar and singing in bands. After double-majoring in Human Communications and Finance, Steven founded TakeLessons, a site built to help artists find students and conduct live lessons online. Over 2 million people used the site and app each month to learn music, acting, dance, languages, coding, and academic subjects. The business raised multiple rounds of venture financing and in 2021, was acquired by Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), the second largest company in the world.
Steven started studying screen acting, improv, and commercial work with some of the leading acting coaches in Hollywood, including Aaron Speiser and Kay Aston, founders of the Screen Acting Studio, and personal coaches to Will Smith and Jennifer Lopez.
